Work process

From satin ribbons and borders with a motif, we cut out fragments in the form of orange slices. To make the blanks even, you can first cut out a pattern from paper, fitting it to the size of a plastic ball. We will need 6 pieces of ribbon and one with embroidery.

Coat the surface of the ball with glue, glue the fragments next to each other. If small gaps remain between the parts, this is not a problem, because. then we will make out all the joints with a wide braid.

If the edges do not stick in several places, then carefully apply glue to the desired areas with a hook and carefully press the edges of the parts with a clean cloth until they seize. The toys are light (inside the synthetic winterizer), bright (juicy colors of floss threads) and kind (mother's hands and love).

THE ESSENCE OF WORK IS SIMPLE…

• We insert a canvas into the hoop - of sufficient size to fit the entire conceived pattern.

To know which piece of canvas we need, we must calculate the size of future embroidery.

One cell on the diagram is equal to two holes on the canvas.

Now counting the holes of the canvas in width and length. There should be 2 times more of them than the cells in the diagram.

If there are 2 times more of them than the cells in the diagram, then our cross-stitch will fit on the canvas.

• Making cross stitch...
• We cut the canvas around the embroidery ... not along the very edge, but slightly stepping back from the edge - this will be the front wall of our toy. From any fabric we cut out a piece of the same shape (this will be the back wall of the toy ...)

And yet ... YOU CAN MAKE A DECOR FOR THE BALL. Cut out circles from the canvas with New Year's embroidery - you can attach to the Christmas ball(or foam blank-ball) - and sew circles-pancakes between themselves- so that the ball was left inside pancake embroidery. Like in the photo below.

Or you can decorate the balls with embroidery - to complement the decoration of satin ribbons - in the technique of "Artichoke" ... this is when the tape is cut into pieces of 3 cm ... the edges of the segment are bent into a triangle ... and these tape triangles are pinned to foam ball... with alternating checkerboard ... like in fish scales. Or you can sew such a fabric cover (New Year's cover for a tablet or smartphone). It's simple - you also need to sew an embroidered pattern cut out of canvas to the front detail.

1. Cut out of fabric 2 rectangle a (front detail and back detail of the cover). It is better to take the fabric in red ... and dense, so that it keeps its shape).

The cut out part of the embroidery is applied to the right place on the postcard ... we circle it with a pencil lightly ...

We glue all this place (inside the pencil frame) with double-sided tape ... (we cut as much as necessary and glue it)

Then we tear off the protective film from the adhesive tape ... and apply our embroidery evenly on the sticky side ....

The edges of the embroidery-canva can be left as a fringe... or you can cover it with braid or a touch of lace...
