Vest

The vest is knitted in a circle in closed rows. Knit, alternately with blue and white yarn.

Tie a chain from ch. The length of the chain should be equal to the girth of the wide part of the Marine's body.

Close the chain into a ring, tie 2 ch for lifting and knit dc in a circle with blue yarn exactly without increments. At the end of the row, knit 1 sl-st in the first dc.

Change blue color to white. Link 2 ch for lifting, then knit a row of dc in a circle without increments.

Thus, knit nine rows. Try on a paratrooper's vest, if you are satisfied with the length, proceed to knitting armholes.

Change color, knit 5 sc (this is the future armhole). Adjust the number of loops for the armhole yourself. If 5 sb is not enough, knit 6 or 7.

Tie 1 ch for lifting, then knit dc. To determine the number of double crochets, you need to subtract the loops for the armholes from the total number of loops of the vest (in my case, twice 5 = 10) and divide the resulting number by 2. For example: I have 72 loops in the vest. I subtracted two times 5 loops: 72 - 10 = 62, 62: 2 = 31 - so many loops I have on the back and the same number on the front. After double crochet, work single crochet again for armholes. Next, knit stitches with a crochet, fasten the thread and hide.
