And before you sit down at your desk and start practicing, I had to study the theory. I could not lose face in front of the younger generation. I advise you to take a short course of familiarization with tricky techniques.

In fact, there is nothing complicated. Kanzashi is the manufacture of ornaments from ribbons or fabric that are attached to a specific base. And at the word artichoke, a fruit with the same name pops up in my thoughts. This means that the decor will be in the form of teeth, corners, scales. They, again ta - ki, need to be attached to some kind of base. In our case, this will be an egg-shaped blank.

That, perhaps, is all. We have a general idea, we will deal with the details along the way. It's time to open a workshop for the manufacture of satin crafts.

  • Multicolored satin ribbons

  4. At the top of the egg, wind it crosswise. it important point. The ribbon will hold tightly, do not slip off.

  5. At the end of the process, cut off the end of the ribbon and fix it at the bottom with glue. What did we get? Beautiful base. Already it delivers aesthetic pleasure. But this is not the limit, we move on.

  6. Take a ribbon of a different color, preferably a contrasting one. You will cut flowers from it, so the recommended width is 1 cm.

  7. Cut into pieces 2 cm long. These are the future petals. For each flower, you will need 5 pieces, so you can calculate the required number of pieces.

  8. To give the segment the shape of a petal, singe it with a candle, make the top oval.

  9. Gather the bottom of the segment into a fold, cut off the excess, gently burn with a candle.

  10. Now you need to make the base for the flower leaf. Take a green ribbon with a width of 2.5 cm. Cut off a small piece, give it the shape of a leaf with scissors, singe the edges with fire.
  11. Collect the flower. Take a needle and thread, string five petals. In the middle, insert a piece of wire with a bead (these will be stamens), pull the thread, fix it, cut it off.

Easter egg from satin ribbons using the artichoke technique

By and large, the artichoke technique is a kind of kanzashi. Now we are already literate, and we can draw certain conclusions. Progress on the face!

But now we will make a three-dimensional Easter egg, a kind of 3D one. We will succeed unusual craft, exclusive and beautiful. Reminiscent of a pine cone.

We prepare materials and inventory

  • Styrofoam egg
  • Multi-colored satin ribbons
  • scissors
  • Sewing needles with caps.

Select ribbons with the same width. The best option 2 - 2.5 cm.

Step by Step

  1. Cut off a few square pieces. Set aside for the time being.
  2. Cut the ribbons into lengths of 3 - 5 cm. The length depends on the size of the foam egg. The larger it is, the longer the ribbons need to be cut. Each segment should be folded into a triangle, with the corners bent inward. This will be one of the scales of a kind of cone.
  3. Attach a square piece to the top of the foam blank. You need to fasten with sewing needles in the four corners of the figure.
  4. Take cuts for scales of a different color. Fold the triangle, attach its top to the center of the square. Fasten only at two points at the base of the triangle.

  5. Attach three more tape scales in the same way. We got the first tier of crafts. And look, it almost completely covers the square at the top. Only a small part of it is visible. This is clearly visible in the step by step photo.

  6. For the second round, prepare cuts of a different color. Collapse the triangles, lay out and strengthen in a checkerboard pattern.
  7. Decorate the entire surface of the workpiece in the same way, changing the color of the rows to your liking.
  8. For the bottom 2 - 3 rows, reduce the length of the pieces for the scales in order to maintain the shape of the egg. There will be enough length of 2 - 2.5 cm.

  9. Cover the base with a square piece of tape.

Easter souvenir turned out great! Oh yes we are, oh yes well done!

How to decorate an Easter egg by combining kanzashi and artichoke techniques

Easter eggs made using two techniques are stunningly beautiful. The materials used are the same, only the step-by-step actions here are special, like the craft itself.

We have already studied the basics of styles, I will not repeat myself. I’ll just point out in what sequence to decorate.

  1. The workpiece is pasted over with vertical stripes of a satin ribbon of the same color. Here you need to remember the lessons on mastering kanzashi.
  2. Next, you need to proceed to the design of the lower part of the egg with artichoke scales in a checkerboard pattern. Lush bottom must be made from ribbons of a contrasting color.

The combination of styles allows you to admire magnificent Easter souvenirs. Flowers, beads pasted on a smooth surface can give them a special charm.

Easter egg on a stand made of satin ribbons

I liked the idea of placing the Easter egg on a decorative stand. And both of them are decorated with satin ribbons.

Work materials

  • Paper (notebook sheets are best)
  • Satin ribbons in two colors (width up to 1 cm)
  • Wide green ribbon (5 cm)
  • Scissors
  • Cardboard
  • Double sided tape
  • Candle.

step by step process

  1. Crumple the paper, give the shape of an egg.
  2. Tape the workpiece with tape.

  3. Glue the ends of the ribbons of two colors to the top.

  4. Glue at the same time. At the opposite end of the workpiece, the ribbons are interchanged. And one more thing: the ribbons must be glued overlapping each other in order to eliminate gaps.

  5. After the entire surface is decorated, secure the ends of the ribbons with tape.

  6. Cut out a circle with a diameter of 6 cm from cardboard.
  7. Cut a piece 10 cm long from a wide tape.
  8. Fold it in half from the inside, cut diagonally.
  9. From the ribbons of the primary colors, make a decor in the form of flowers, glue them to the top of the souvenir.

This is the beauty you can make at home. It would seem that everything is so simple, but it looks like elegant, right?

  • - for flowers, squares of yellow ribbon measuring 2.5 * 2.5 cm - 15 pieces;

  • - green felt base for a nest with a diameter of 3.5 cm;
  • - decorative wooden egg;
  • - satin ribbon to cover the egg white color 0.5 cm.

Easter egg - execution steps

1. Use all the prepared green segments of the rectangular satin to create leaves of an unusual oblong shape. Bend the rectangles along the center, leaving the wrong side of the satin inside. Bevel one side with scissors literally 2-3 mm. Then singe the beveled edge and fasten the hot satin with your fingers. Leave the burnt part in this position, and turn the bottom one forward. Wrap the two corners of the bottom side into the workpiece, forming a sheet of sharp unusual shape. In the center, the sheet should expand, and at the edges it should narrow.

2. Make 24 leaves out of green rectangles. They will be spent on two layers of the base. But you can make more layers if you wish.

3. Cut out a felt circle (preferably green). Glue the first layer of leaves in a circle. They should stand side by side, without gaps. Glue a stamen with red heads on top of each sheet, having previously bent each. The red color will stand out against the background of greenery, so the composition will become elegant. These balls look like ripe berries.

4. Glue the second row of greenery, it is better to offset each leaf in the gap between the first two to get a lush effect.

5. Prepare the central egg. Stick a ball of white satin on it, evenly distributing the turns.

6. Make convex blanks yellow color for flower petals from squares. Bend the squares diagonally, fold again, close the sharp ends together and turn the resulting leaves inside out. Focus on the photo. Petals are made according to the method of modeling ordinary single sharp parts.

7. To simulate three bright inflorescences, prepare 5 yellow petals and 3 bunches of red stamens (of three pieces).

8. Also separate the strips of green satin ribbon prepared for the sepals diagonally with a soldering iron. Cut them up and use only one piece.

9. Open the sepal and insert a flower with a red core into it, after gluing the parts in a circle.

10. Three main details for creating an Easter souvenir - a green nest decorated with a ribbon, a wooden egg and three bright flowers.

11. Glue the flowers to the egg for a beautiful arrangement of your own. Instead of intermediate leaves, you can use the rest of the cut green ribbon that remains after sepal separation. Arrange the leaves between the flowers so that the sharp tips show through beautifully.

In this master class, you will learn how to make an Easter souvenir - an egg from satin ribbons using the kinusaiga technique and the artichoke technique.

Kinusaiga is Japanese patchwork technique, otherwise this technique is called a patchwork without a needle. This technique consists in the fact that first a drawing is created on paper, which is transferred to a wooden base. Recesses are cut in the plank, the fabric is cut into small pieces with allowances, the edges are tucked into the prepared grooves. Today, instead of wood, foam is used as a blank, which can be easily processed with a knife.

Using the kinusaiga technique, you can create very beautiful boxes, paintings, panels, toys. This technique is very widespread in the manufacture Christmas decorations and Easter eggs - souvenirs.

The artichoke technique is also a kind of patchwork, it got its name because of the similarity finished products with artichoke flower. Triangles are folded from square or rectangular pieces of fabric and attached to the foam base with pins.

An Easter souvenir made using such techniques can become a decoration in your home or great gift holiday for family and friends.

Master class "Easter souvenir - an egg from satin ribbons"

You will need:

Stages of work:

1. Divide the egg-shaped foam blank into 6 equal sectors with lines emerging from the center of the sharp end of the egg and connecting at the center of the blunt end.

We make cuts along the marked lines with a clerical knife so that they are at least 0.5 cm deep.

2. We cut satin ribbons (blue and purple) into segments 14.5 cm long. We need 3 pieces of blue and purple ribbon.

We give the segments the shape of sectors, but a little bigger size by cutting off the corners. Burn the cut edges.

Then we put the first flap on the workpiece and carefully tuck the edges into the slots with the help of a stack, slightly stretching and straightening the tape. In the same way, we close all the other parts, alternating colors.

3. We close the seams with a golden ribbon or braid (lace).

Do not forget to singe the edges of the segments with a lighter.

The first row is made of gold ribbon. We fold the square diagonally to make a triangle, and then fold it in half again. We fix the lower corners of the triangle with clerical pins in the middle of the egg, as in the photo. In the same way, we attach five more triangles around the entire circumference of the egg. The first row is ready.

The second row will be made of blue ribbon. We fold the squares in the same way into triangles. We attach them to the foam egg just below the first row at the bottom corners.

The third row is made from the same color as the first. We fix the triangles between the triangles of the second row in a checkerboard pattern about 0.5 cm lower.

We attach the next 4th row of 6 purple modules in the same way, but just below the third row.

5 row - again golden triangles, while the tops of the triangles should be between the triangles of the fourth row (in a checkerboard pattern).

6th row - blue triangles, just below the 5th row.

7th row - golden triangles, we also place their tops between the triangles of the 6th row.

8th row - again purple triangles, just below the 7th row.

9th row - golden triangles, we place the vertices between the triangles of the 8th row.

We complete the 10th row with blue triangles located just below the 9th row.

5. We cut a satin ribbon 2.5 cm wide into segments of 10 cm (6 pcs.) And 12 cm (6 pcs.)

We make the next 11th row from segments 10 cm long. Fold the segments with a loop, as in the photo below and attach with pins.

The last row is made of segments 12 cm long. We also fold them with a loop and fasten them with pins, placing them between the petals of the 11th row.

We close the middle with tape.

6. We decorate each sector of the egg with sequins. You can glue a half-bead to the top of the egg, and attach a loop of narrow ribbon to the base, and you will get an Easter pendant. The souvenir is ready!
