An unusual decoration of the festive table will be a bright lotus made of red napkins, made by hand for Mother's Day, for March 8 and for the birthday of your mother, grandmother, sister or girlfriend. Such a flower can not only become decorative element but also a napkin holder. To make such a craft, you can see the instructions with step by step description, or a video with a master class.

You will need:

  • green napkins - 4 pieces,
  • red napkins - 40 pieces,
  • thin wire - 10 cm.

Progress:

  1. To begin with, we will make blanks with our own hands. We take a green napkin, open it so that only one addition remains. Then we need to fold the resulting rectangle along, and open it again.
  2. We have a rectangle with a fold in the middle. We bend the corners of all four sides to the center.
  3. We also bend the sides to the center, and again in half. It turned out a narrow rectangle with corners on the sides.
  4. In a similar way, we perform such actions with the rest of the green paper materials.
  5. Without opening the red napkin, fold it in half to make a triangle.
  6. We put the paper material at hand with the top away from us and fold the side corners with the sides to the center. And we bend the corners protruding below from the back side. We perform the same actions with all the remaining red elements.
  7. We begin to form the base of the lotus with our own hands. We take the green material and fold it to each other. Now, to outline the middle, we fold the total mass of these blanks in half, but do not put too much pressure on the fold. We only need it for guidance.
  8. Now in the center we fix the paper blanks with wire and put them on the table with the long side of the corners up. These will be the leaves of our flower. Arrange the leaves so that they lie evenly in a circle.
  9. We begin to collect the petals. We take a red napkin and fold it in half, folded corners inward. We need to insert the resulting triangle with the corners into the green sheets of the water lily, and straighten the upper part to get a voluminous petal and it will be easier to insert the subsequent ones from above into it. The corners of the petal must be inserted so that one is in one sheet and the other in another. Thus, the composition will hold on tighter and there will be no gaps. So we do the 1st row.
  10. The next 4 rows are performed in the same way. So we get a lush and beautiful lotus. Such a do-it-yourself napkin craft made by an adult will bring a lot of pleasure and positive to women, girls and young girls.

Ballerina made of white napkins and wire

In order to make with your own hands an excellent delicate decoration for new year holidays, of course, you need to dream a little. But, as a rule, only the beloved snowflakes, garlands, lanterns, Christmas trees and the like come to mind. However, in order not to waste your precious time thinking, we offer you, dear friends, to make a tendite and fragile ballerina out of a snow-white napkin. Such a craft can perfectly fit anywhere, even on the ceiling, even on the window or on a coniferous tree in new year's eve. So, we offer you our interesting and useful master class with a step-by-step description of the course of action.

To work on you need:

  • white napkins;
  • wire;
  • threads;
  • scissors;
  • three-layer bright napkins;
  • wallpaper glue.

Manufacturing process:

  1. In order to make a neat craft with your own hands, you first need to prepare a wire of the required size. We put a bright three-layer napkin on the table and measure its diameter with a wire. This is the size of the wire that suits us. Fold it in half and cut it off.
  2. After that, we need to twist a loop on the bent section of the wire for the future head of the ballerina, and separate two ends of the wire should be left for the legs. We round off their edges for the effect of beauty and credibility, and we wrap the main part with additional segments of the same dense, but flexible material. Here at our hand-made article the volume of legs appeared.
  3. Now the hour has come for making the hands of a ballerina. We take the same wire and, having measured the length of future limbs, we fasten them to the body. By means of an additional piece of the same material, we will need to give volume to the arms in such a technique as we previously performed the legs. Form the edges of the hands in the form of a loop.
  4. When the wire frame of the ballerina is ready, we will need to wrap it with small pieces of snow-white napkin, which we prepared in advance. We wind them in turn from edge to edge of the limbs and the entire torso, including the head, and to fix it, you need to use wallpaper glue.
  5. Upon completion of the creation of the entire ballerina with our own hands, we have to make her fluffy skirt from a bright cover. We separate from each other all three layers of paper material, from the white part we need to create a petticoat. We fold our improvised material in half, then in half again. We have a square. So we need to fold it in half again so that a triangle appears, and then bend it again in the same way. We cut off the lower edge of the triangle evenly, and cut off the sharp upper corner a little so that our ballerina fits into her outfit.
  6. We put the finished petticoat on the craft and, so that it does not fly off, we fix it with simple threads.
  7. The final part of our creativity will be the manufacture of the main dress from a colorful napkin. With it, we perform the same functions as with the petticoat, create a triangle from folded halves of paper, align the bottom of the dress, cut off the edge of the top, and then, attention, we twist the entire dress blank into a kind of flagellum to get the texture of the dress, and then expand. The reaper was formed. We dress it on the ballerina so that the white petticoat peeks out slightly, and fasten it with thin threads.
  8. Do-it-yourself ready-made crafts from napkins can be decorated with rhinestones or bows, silk ribbons or beads. Everything in general - something to your taste!

You can make crafts from napkins with your own hands different ways, we have brought you the most popular and simple ones that everyone can handle.

Trimming is a fascinating form of creativity. An original work is created from ordinary paper napkins, which looks very impressive in the interior. Trimming requires the most simple materials that can be found in any home. To work, you need napkins different colors, landscape sheet, PVA glue, unsharpened pencil (brush or pen without a rod), scissors, ruler. And a lot of patience.

Facing is painstaking work that requires a lot of patience, but not at all difficult. You can safely connect the kids to work, because these are excellent exercises for development fine motor skills, precision and attention.

On the landscape sheet draw a sketch of the future work.

If there are any flaws, they can not be erased, because the basis will not be visible in the finished work. The drawing should contain large details, because small ones cannot be laid out by facing. Paintings in this technique are perfect for decorating a children's room, and you can take pictures from children's coloring books as a basis. If you plan to insert the work into finished frame, it is better to do this immediately after the sketch is drawn. In this case, there will be no wrinkling of napkins, because finished work tender enough.

First you need to prepare napkins. They must be cut into squares with a side of 2 cm.

You don't need to cut a lot of napkins to get the job done. For this A4 picture, it took 3 white, 4 green, 6 blue and one napkin of blue and yellow flowers. For ease of storage and use, you can put all the squares in a small box. So they will not be rumpled, and will not scatter around the room like moths. Put together 2 squares of the same color. Place a sharpened pencil or pen without a rod in the center of the square and lightly wrap a napkin around its tip, like a bag.

Lubricate a small area of the picture with PVA glue and apply “bags” to the glue. The next piece of napkin is glued as close as possible, and so on until the end of the work. The denser the squares of napkins are glued, the more beautiful the picture is.

Do not immediately apply glue to a large area - it can dry out and have to be applied again. It is better to start work from the upper left corner, so that contact with the glued area is minimal. When the picture is finished, it is worth examining it carefully. In some places there may be gaps in which you can glue the bags of napkins. Glue is applied directly to the tip of the bag.

So the picture will not be stained with glue, and its consumption will be small.

If the napkins are glued unevenly, it is easy to correct it with sharp scissors by cutting off the protruding corners. The picture, made in the technique of trimming, looks voluminous and very unusual. Delicate colors and airy lightness of napkins give the work mystery and weightlessness.

Such work can become not only an interior decoration, but also a wonderful gift for relatives and friends for any holiday.

You will be surprised when you find out how many beautiful crafts you can make from paper or lace napkins. In this material, we presented 5 step-by-step master classes, following which you can make decor items, accessories for table setting, Christmas decorations, gifts for loved ones or toys for children. By the way, all ideas are designed for both adult and children's creativity.

Master class 1. Dancing dolls from paper napkins

Looking at these graceful figures of ballerinas and fairy fairies It looks like they were made by a real craftsman. In fact, even children from the most ordinary paper napkins can make such crafts with their own hands.

There are a lot of ways to use a paper ballerina. For example, it can be hung on Christmas tree, put on a shelf like a figurine, give it to a loved one, use it as a doll, or make a children's mobile from several ballerinas as in the photo below.

Mobiles with ballerinas from napkins

What you need:

  • Flexible wire approximately 1.5 m long;
  • Plain napkins of any color (in this project, napkins 30 × 30 cm are used);
  • PVA glue and a brush for its application;
  • Needle with thread;
  • Scissors.

How to do it:

Step 1. First we need to make a "skeleton" of a ballerina out of wire. To do this, divide your wire into two unequal parts: the long wire should be 90 cm long, the short one about 40 cm. You can make a ballerina of a different size, but keep in mind that her dress will be made from a napkin, which means a “skeleton” shouldn't be too big. In this master class, the size of the "skeleton" is designed for a dress made of a napkin 30 × 30 cm.

Step 2. Fold the long wire in half, twist it a little, and then form a small loop (see photo below). This will be the head. Move the two ends of the wire apart to make legs, then make a loop on each leg.

Step 3. To make hands, fold a short wire in half, twist it, forming loops at the ends. Then wrap and tie the ballerina's torso just below the neck with the resulting workpiece. As a result, each arm will be 7-8 cm long, and the "skeleton" will look something like in the photo.

Step 4. Now let's deal with the "muscles". Cut or simply tear the napkins into narrow strips and start wrapping the “skeleton” with them, simultaneously lubricating the layers of paper with PVA glue with a brush. When the figurine is ready, leave it to dry.

Step 5. While our ballerina dries, you can make her a dress. Take a napkin folded into a square (that is, in its original form), fold it into a triangle, then bend the top of the triangle to the fold line and cut the workpiece along the curve as shown in the photo below.

Having straightened the napkin, you will see that it is cut out in the form of a quadrant (a quarter of a circle). Lay the quadrant on top of a stack of 2-3 napkins and cut out the pieces for the dress.

Step 6 Twist each blank so that the dress is soft and textured. If desired, at this stage, napkins can be dyed.

Step 7. Take 2-3 blanks for the dress, fold them as shown in the photo and cut off their ends at once (just a little bit!).

Step 8. Now put the dress on the ballerina through the resulting hole, pull it up to the very shoulders, then sew the back and front of it together. Hooray, almost done! It remains only to pull the waist with a thread / ribbon and tie / glue a loop to it (for example, to the back or arms raised up).

By experimenting with the color, length and style of the dress, as well as the position of the arms and legs, you can create a whole collection of dissimilar dolls.

Master class 2. Volumetric balls from openwork napkins

Now we offer to make crafts from lace napkins in the form of voluminous balls that can decorate any holiday, especially New Year and Christmas.

And from lace balls you get a beautiful mobile.

These little balls on a baby mobile are made from 4 napkins that were pre-decorated with colored paper.

What you need:

  • 10-12 lace napkins for the cake (you can use lace napkins of a smaller diameter for making small balls, in this case you will need about 4-10 napkins for one ball);
  • Thread (colored or white);
  • Needle;
  • Beads for decoration (optional).

How to do it:

Step 1. Stack 10-12 cake napkins in a pile and draw a line in the middle.

Step 2. Sew the stack of napkins straight along the line. Use clothespins to secure the sheets while sewing.

Step 3 Spread your balloon.

Master class 3. Lush flowers

These beautiful paper flowers can be put in a vase or glued to the wall, say, for a wedding or March 8th.

What you need:

  • 4 napkins of the same color;
  • 1 Napkin in a contrasting color;
  • Thread or ribbon;
  • Scissors;
  • Wooden skewer or any other wooden stick;
  • Glue;
  • Scotch.

How to do it:

Step 1. Straighten your tissues and stack them.

Step 2. Take the contrast napkin in its original form (that is, folded into a square) and cut off its edges about 2.5 cm wide on the right and bottom side.

Step 3. Straighten the contrasting napkin, put it on top of the rest, then fold the accordion from the resulting stack. Squeeze the accordion in the center and tie it with a thread.

Step 4. Round or reed the ends of the harmonica with scissors.

Step 5. Straighten your accordion so that it resembles a bow, then begin to gently lift each layer of paper towards the center to "fluff" the flower.

Step 6. Use adhesive tape to glue a wooden stem skewer to the wrong side of the flower, then mask the adhesive tape itself with a piece of napkin. Hooray! Your craft is ready! By the way, if you paint the stems of flowers with green paint and supplement them with artificial leaves, the flowers will turn out to be more believable.

Who would have thought that the white hydrangeas in the photo are made from paper napkins. To make one hydrangea, make two flowers according to our instructions and glue them together or just use more napkins. In this case, it is advisable to cut the edges of the napkins in waves, paint the stems and supplement them with large artificial leaves.

Master class 4. Angels from openwork napkins

Another idea for New Year's crafts from openwork napkins is angels for decorating a Christmas tree or a festive serving.

What you need:

  • Scissors and stationery knife;
  • Glue for paper;
  • felt-tip pens;
  • Chenille wire or pipe cleaner (sold in tobacco shops) silver/gold.

How to do it:

STEP 1 First we need to make the body of the angel. To do this, cut the napkin in half so that you get two semicircles. Then, using a clerical knife, make small cuts in one of the semicircles for the wings. Glue the edges of the semicircle to make a cone.

Step 2 Now let's make the wings. Take the remaining half circle and cut it in two. Insert the resulting quarters into the slots on the back of the angel (corners).

Step 3. And finally, we will make the face of an angel. Draw two identical circles (determine the diameter by eye and to your taste), cut them out, then draw closed eyes and a mouth on one of the circles. The second circle will become a cap, it needs to be glued behind the face and just above it. By the way, if you have shiny silver or gold paper, then it is better to cut an angel's cap out of it.

Step 4. The angel is almost ready, it remains only to make a halo. To do this, take chenille wire or a pipe cleaner, make a round loop at one end of it and tilt it slightly. Next, glue the angel's face to the wire and, finally, insert the wire into the top of the cone (body) and secure it with glue or tape (on the inside of the cone).

Here are a few more ideas for crafts from openwork napkins in the form of angels, which are not difficult to make with your own hands, even without instructions.

Crafts were made from openwork napkins, wooden beads and chenille wire.

Master class 5. Butterflies to decorate the holiday

Now we will introduce you to how to make such butterflies in a matter of minutes. This master class is so simple that even the smallest needlewomen can handle it.

What you need:

  • Two paper napkins;
  • Wire (preferably in a colored braid);
  • Pin.

How to do it:

Step 1. First we will make the top pair of wings. To do this, fully unfold the napkin, then fold it into a triangle. Fold the triangle with an accordion and pinch the center with a clothespin.

STEP 2. Now let's make the lower wings. Take an unfolded napkin and place it in front of you in a diamond pattern. Fold the accordion as shown in the photo.

Step 3. Connect the upper and lower wings with wire and remove the clothespin.

Step 4. Tie a straw with two ends of the wire or use adhesive tape to decorate the wall with a butterfly.

Sometimes you can break your head, inventing original congratulations for Mom. Does she love flowers? Then a flower will be a wonderful gift for her! And so that it does not require any special care, we will make a picture of a flower. It won't wilt for sure if you don't water it. Yes, it will continue to bloom.

To make a picture you will need:

  • Corrugated cardboard;
  • Chamomile image;
  • Napkins in white, blue, yellow and green;
  • Scissors;
  • Glue stick and PVA;
  • Wire.

Let's get started

Step 1:

We make a loop of wire.

Step 2:

Lubricate the cardboard with glue stick.

Step 3:

We glue the image of a camomile. Cut off the excess paper. The basis of the picture is ready.

Now let's start "coloring" the image with paper napkins.

Step 4:

Cut the yellow napkin along the fold lines. First we need only 1/4 part.

Step 5:

Lubricate the core of the flower with glue, glue the prepared part first around the perimeter, then in the center. Beautiful voluminous folds are obtained.

Step 6:

For decorating petals white napkin divide into 8 parts (first cut along the fold lines, then each part in half). We glue it in the same way as on the core.

Step 7:

We twist the flagellum from half of the green napkin.

Step 8:

We glue the stem in place, cut off the excess, but do not throw it away - they will be useful for decorating the veins on the leaves.

Step 9:

We divide the remaining half into 2 parts, we “color” the leaves with them.

Step 10:

We glue the veins - flagella.

Step 11:

With a blue napkin (2 pcs.) We decorate the space around the flower.

Step 12:

The remaining 3 parts of the yellow napkin are cut three times in the middle. From the resulting pieces we make balls.

Step 13:

Lubricate the core of the flower along the contour with PVA glue, glue the balls.

Step 14:

We make white and green balls. We glue them on the petals and leaves.

Let's start making the frame. We will make it from tubes.

Step 15:

Napkin blue color(4 pcs.) cut along the fold lines. The resulting squares are wound on a knitting needle, starting from the corner. When the entire napkin is wound, it will be necessary to twist the tube so that it does not disperse, and remove it from the knitting needle.

Step 16:

We make 16 tubes in this way.

Step 17:

Cut them into pieces about 1.5 cm long.

Step 18:

Glue the tubes to the top and bottom of the picture vertically.
