To knit footprints, you will need 50 grams of acrylic yarn in two colors of your choice and knitting needles No. 3.5. If the yarn is thin, then knit the footprints with a thread in two additions.

According to this description, the footprints are obtained for a foot size from 38 to 40.

Start knitting from the cuff with an elastic band 1x1.

Cast on 71 sts on needles. Knit in straight and reverse rows, alternating 1 knit and 1 purl stitch. In the next rows, knit an elastic band according to the pattern, performing over the front loops - front, over the wrong - wrong. Rib knit for 5 rows.

Loop calculation

Number of loops, which you need to dial on the knitting needles is equal to, multiplied by and divided by 2, because first we knit half of the trace: 23 x 2.2 / 2 = 25.3 ≈ 25 loops.

Upper part of the track to the toe is equal to the measurement of the length of the foot minus the girth of the foot, divided by 2.

Foot length - Foot circumference / 2 = 24 - (23/2) = 24 - 11.5 = 12.5 cm.

To determine the number of rows, the resulting value must be multiplied by the vertical knitting density (PV): 12.5 x 3 = 37.5 ≈ 38 rows.

Cast on 25 sts and work a 2.5 cm bar (10 rows) in garter stitch. We make out the edge loops with a pigtail.

We begin to decrease the loops on the toe. 25 loops are mentally divided into 3 parts. If there is 1 loop left, add it to the central part, if 2 - to the side parts. In my case, it turns out 9 loops of the central part and 8 loops of the side parts. Decrease sts at the end of each row to form a toe, working 2 sts together before edge st. In the front rows we knit, in the purl 2 loops together with the purl loop. We decrease the loops until only 9 loops of the central part remain on the knitting needle.
