Contests in folk style. The birthdays of the autumn birthday girls were dedicated to gatherings in the Russian folk style. Decoration of the premises and actors

Red girls and glorious heroes, remember the traditions of the people? Let's rest so that the devils in hell become unbearable? Noisy Russian parties in folk style- this is universal fun, loud songs, ditties, Slavic fun and revelry to the fullest! Let's measure strength and ingenuity, arrange a feast for the whole world!

A peasant yard, a Russian hut, royal mansions or a boyar tower? The first option is ideal for a holiday on fresh air- in nature or in the courtyard of a private house. To create an atmosphere, decorate the perimeter with a fake wattle fence (a fence made of willow, hollow or willow branches), sheaves of hay, figurines or images of livestock. In the distance or near the house "exhibition" - a Russian party with a contest "Guess what it is and what it was used for?". Tools (carded, scraper and adze, hoe, etc.) can be drawn and cut out of cardboard.

Peasant hut - earthenware and wooden rough dishes, linen or hemp fabrics, wild flowers, bast shoes and felt boots, barrels and tubs, rough unhewn furniture. The queen of the house (Russian stove) can be drawn or made from cardboard. Boyarsky tower - Khokhloma, "bear" skins, wide long benches, feather beds with pyramids. The royal party in the Russian folk style is a decoration rich in silver, gold and stones, thin cotton or silk tablecloths, carved furniture, shelves with expensive dishes and clay figurines on the walls.

Suitable for decoration:

  • garlands of dried mushrooms, berries and fruits, onions and garlic. Bunches of fragrant herbs and sprigs of mountain ash, flowering apple trees, cherries;
  • painted nesting dolls, caskets, chests. A large chest can be left open, putting costume elements inside, so that guests can choose accessories to their taste;
  • wooden utensils, stavets or tubs, baskets and tubs. Original decor- a cut plastic bottle with wild flowers inserted into a felt boot or into a tub (if the tub is wide, the bottles are placed tightly so as not to stagger);
  • stylized scarves, shawls, head coverings.

Don't try to use as much as you can. more items decor. Enough of a few details, but well thought out and sustained in the same style. For example, Gzhel and Khokhloma, coarse wooden and fine workmanship, unbleached linen and fine fabrics do not go well together.

Suits

For a theme party, Russian-style costumes include a peasant dress, a boyar caftan, a royal outfit, and a hero’s chain mail. Therefore, in the invitation, specify the dress code if you want good people to be from the same class. You can arrange a fair or folk festival, where all the honest people had fun on an equal footing:

We invite queens and kings,
Knights and heroes,
funny buffoons,
Peasant and boyars,
Whether you are a prince or a milker!

The easiest option women's costume consists of a white shirt with wide sleeves (tunic, ethnic ornament on the collar, hem and sleeves) and long sundress(red, yellow, blue, green colors). On the head there is a wreath, ribbon or kokoshnik (can be made of cardboard, covered with fabric and decorated with beads), on the legs there are bright little laces (shoes or boots). Large jewelry made of stones, beads, beads, blackened silver.

For men- a wide belted shirt with wide sleeves (do not forget the ornament), loose dark pants (plain or longitudinal stripes). Trousers were tucked into boots or gathered down with a braid of onuchi or bast shoes. So that the strong half of humanity does not feel constrained at a Russian party, you can wear loose trousers of standard length and simple dark-colored shoes.

Stylized costumes for leading and most active guests:

Or even like this - modern, comfortable and beautiful:

Menu

To withstand the atmosphere, set the table with the simplest dishes or vases with recognizable ornaments, plant motifs, rural animals (for example, roosters surrounded by flowers - Gorodetskaya, Petrikovskaya painting). The main decoration of the table is a brilliant samovar, bursting with heat. If there is no place for a samovar on the common table, put it against the wall on a small table. Around the samovar, jam and jam in pot-bellied jars, candied fruits and berries, dryers and gingerbread, cockerels (lollipops).

At festivities in the Russian folk style, the table should burst with treats. A party can cost a pretty penny or turn out to be very economical, depending on which dishes of Slavic cuisine to choose:

  • goose in apples, chicken, game, roasted pig;

  • jellied or baked sturgeon, black and red game;

  • roast with mushrooms, porridge with meat or mushrooms, okroshka, casserole, cabbage soup;

  • salted milk mushrooms and butter, tomatoes and cucumbers, pickled apples, sauerkraut with cranberries;

  • pies, rolls, cheesecakes, pies, pancakes and pancakes, carols, bagels;

  • baked or boiled potatoes, steamed turnip, herring;

  • "our" fruits and berries. You can put a dish with pineapples, bananas, kiwi, etc., with a comic sign “Gifts to the light prince from the Byzantine ambassador” or “Beware of foreign fruits!”.

From drinks– traditional vodka and mead. Crazy mash and hoppy beer can be poured with a ladle with a spout straight from an oak barrel! Contrary to popular belief, the Slavs drank "drunk" drinks only on these occasions: a wedding, a military victory, the death of a family member, the birth of a child. Therefore, the party does not have to turn into a banal booze, add low-alcohol drinks to the menu - birch tree (fermented birch sap with sugar), kvass, sat (fermented honey water). From non-alcoholic - non-hop kvass, compotes and juices from fruits, berries and vegetables, herbal teas.

Entertainment

In addition to a noisy feast, festivities in Russian traditions necessarily include games of ingenuity, courage and, of course, strength. We will not offer to beat each other with a log or beat with fists until one falls.

1. But dancing is a sacred thing! Apple, Cossack, Kamarinskaya, mistress, Kalinka and Metelitsa - invite guests to repeat the movements of the host (animator) or dancer on the video. Do not forget to prepare Russian music for the party, in original or modern version.

2. Invite guests to guess the next line of the folk song (prepare the text or audio cut in advance). Or let them guess the name of the musical instrument. Instead of real instruments, use drawings, photos or toy miniatures: horn and flute, domra and balalaika, palms and rattle, rubel, bells, etc.

3. The snake Gorynych fell to taste the heroic silushka - beware, evil spirits, Russian peasants! According to the scenario of the party, the guests are divided into two teams. Tie to the back of a chair air balloons(how many people in the team, so many balls). Prepare two wooden swords. Participants from each team must quickly “cut off Gorynych’s head” with a sword, i.e. pop one balloon. Happened? Pass the sword to the next participant (the team whose Gorynych fell faster wins). Guests will swing the stick quite actively, so place chairs at arm's length plus the length of the sword.

4. Invite the good fellows to surprise the people with their accuracy. The game "Pile" - a metal ring on the ground (or on a piece of foam), a thin metal pointed rod 15 cm (you can just use a large nail or a heavy dart). The larger the ring, the farther you need to stand. The glorious knight must throw a "spear", hitting the ring.

The games "Skovoroda" and "Drunk Carter" are held under cheerful Russian songs. For parties in a large room (with a dance floor) or outdoors.

5. "Frying pan" - a circle marked on the ground (half). You can draw with chalk or paint, draw in the soil, lay out with a ribbon - whatever you like. The diameter of the circle is slightly less than the diameter of the round dance of the participants. All guests are divided into two teams and form a round dance so as to stand through one (a member of the boyar team is a member of the peasant team, etc.). Music sounds, the round dance moves in a circle. Suddenly, the music stops - the team members are trying to "fry" the opponents, pulling them by the hands into the "frying pan" (into the circle). Stepped on the "frying pan" - dropped out of the game.

6. To play the "drunk carter" you will need three ropes about two meters long. The ends of the ropes are tightly tied together. Loose ends are wrapped around the waist of three participants. At the command of the “horse of a drunken driver,” the rod is pulled in different directions. The winner is the one who pulls the other two participants to his side. There can be several “triples”, the winners of the “triples” compete among themselves until the strongest “horse” is determined.

At the end of the party, give out Russian-style gifts to the most active participants or souvenirs to all those invited: nesting dolls, wooden spoons, scarves, beads and ribbons for girls, carvings, painted boxes.

7. To play "Turnip" you need a strong pole or something solid that you can tenaciously grab onto. The “turnip” hugs the pole with his arms and legs, the rest of the participants line up in a chain, holding each other by the waist, and try to “pull out the turnip”. Each participant can be a “turnip”, the leader determines the winner (who lasted longer, count aloud or use a stopwatch).

Recently, one of my former colleagues from Krasnodar, with whom I periodically correspond by e-mail, wrote me an interesting letter. In it, she said that she and her friends recently had a party in French. And the organizer said that she got the idea from the blog of “one Krasnodar woman who moved to live in Canada.”

After a short deduction, my colleague and this girl realized that they both know me (one knows me live, the other from the blog) and read my posts! 🙂

Look, I knew the world was small... But not that small! I was very pleased that they still read me in my native Krasnodar. And they even use my advice-ideas-experience in their lives. So great!

Without delay, I decided to write about another party that we had with the girls a year ago. The party had a serious reason - the birthday of one of my girlfriends. But we held this event in the Russian style.

Usually in Canada, many girls have husbands who work constantly or are on business trips. That is why bachelorette parties are so popular here. While you wait for your husband from work to go to visit, it’s better to organize yourself and celebrate something with the women’s team.

My friend Katya, who had a birthday, lives in Calgary's companion town of Airdrie. It is located in the north, near the Calgary airport. I think that's why Airdrie has a large number of young ladies whose husbands often fly north to work. It is for this town that bachelorette parties are the most popular leisure time for women, “who are over 30”.

Katya is a good hostess, she and her husband have a cozy house and a very well-groomed yard. So visiting them is a pleasure. And here is another reason!

Lily and I began to prepare for this event, of course, in advance. I really wanted to make a congratulatory newspaper for the birthday girl with collage photos. I had photos of all Katya's family and friends, so the production of the newspaper progressed quickly and with pleasure.

Having some magazines with bright pictures in the house, you can make a wonderful fun cartoon newspaper. You just need to arrange cut out pictures of men, women, children, animals, houses, cars, various paraphernalia with real whole photographs of people or only with their heads, for example. Which is what we did.

There is no separate photo, the resulting newspaper can be seen in the background :)

I have already made such congratulatory newspapers here several times to my close friends and acquaintances. All this is taken with a bang! And, most importantly, you can look at such a newspaper for hours, each time finding new and new nuances 🙂

Since the party was planned in the Russian style, Katya and I prepared contests of the same direction:
- Composing ditties of cheerful content (Russian "folklore" language was welcome :).
– Intellectual quiz on Russian writers and their works.
- The same guessing game for Russian cities and events in them.
- And quotes from famous movies.
- Competition "Remember the song about flowers" (love, names ..) - one line from each person sitting at the table ...

The birthday girl was not bypassed directly. I named the dates, and everyone sitting at the table guessed some event in the life of the hero of the day. It was fun, fantasized enough 😉

At the appointed hour, everyone began to gather in the house of the birthday girl. A photo session was waiting for everyone who entered. Oh, and beauties appeared on the doorstep! Judge for yourself 🙂

Some girls brought with them dishes of Russian cuisine. Although the master's table was full of food. It's so great to eat rye bread, jelly, pancakes with caviar on Canadian soil ..

Lily also tried in advance and prepared a contest, which turned out to be the most spectacular and fun that evening. She made blanks for the Kokoshnik competition.

We also bought different stickers and beads to decorate these same hats. That's what came out of it.

The “Skillful Hands” circle at work after a hearty dinner 🙂

The girls were so inspired by the work done that everyone began to pose for photographers in new clothes with pleasure 🙂

And then, in general, our heads “blew off”, and we began to sing Russian songs under karaoke, imagining that we were the Pyatnitsky choir 🙂 The “conductor” diligently waved his hands 😉 The soloists were shouting in every way!

And when the dancing began, we realized that the evening was a success 😉

So, let the young ladies have some fun, so they will demolish the walls near the house!

We all o-really liked such a rich, interesting, fun party. All the guests had time to eat well and to mess around to their heart's content. The birthday girl was incredibly happy that everything went so wonderfully and naturally. After all, this time the company gathered a large one, some of them were strangers to each other. But still, the general idea of the holiday rallied everyone and made friends. And, most importantly, everyone will remember this Katya's birthday for a long time. And then at different meetings, the girls laughed, remembering the details of the party 🙂

Well, Lily and I have prepared another final surprise for everyone - a birthday cake. Of course, he also maintained a common theme - parties in the Russian folk style.

Decoration of the Russian hut

The interior of the room where it is planned to have a party must comply with traditional color schemes and Russian traditions.

Russian huts are characterized by paintings depicting still lifes and national landscapes.

On the walls, you can use painting (on sheets of whatman paper, of course, and not on wallpaper) in the form of a floral ornament.

Irreplaceable interior details are "folk" items: a samovar, benches, washstands, chests, chests of drawers.

An original national feature is colorful, bright, catchy colors (shawls, carpets, bedspreads, blankets, tablecloths).

Items with wood carvings, painted plates, clay jugs, utensils (cast iron tongs, brooms, etc.) look original.

Naturally, styling does not end with one set of items. You also need to take care of sound and olfactory effects. For example, a bouquet of wild flowers will give the room an admixture of meadow scents. In the middle of winter, the bouquet will be successfully replaced by air fresheners.

Russian folk songs (in authentic performance and modern arrangement) and “village” sounds (cackle of geese, bleating of goats and sheep, lowing of cows) come to the fore in the musical organization of the evening. The more dance compositions, the better.

Entertainment

Guests can be met by the owner of the hut or the "king" who went out to the people. The uniform of the “king” is a Monomakh hat, furs, and a mantle. The guest is welcomed to the feast and offered a cup of mead.

"Hats"

Two guys are called. A hat is put on each head. The task is to use dexterity and resourcefulness, using various feints and tricks, to knock the hat off the opponent's head. A hat falling to the ground marks the victory in the game. During the competition, you can not correct and hold the hat with your hands.

"Track"

For the game you need to choose a flat area. Up to 10 people are invited. One of them is the leader, the rest form a “wall”, exposing the left leg and shoulder. The "wall" becomes across the imaginary "road", the driver - a little further away.

The game begins with the words of the driver: “Can I walk along the path?”. The rest: “No one walks or drives along our path. Try it yourself!" Then the driver runs up and tries to break through the "wall". If he succeeds, then the next one takes the place of the driver, the one who broke the chain, and so on.

"Log"

Outwardly, the game resembles a round dance around a log. Three to ten participants join hands and form a circle. A log is placed in the center. The task of the players is to try not to drop the log and at the same time “drag” it onto other players. The participant who dropped the log is out. Gradually the number of players is reduced. During the game it is forbidden to disengage hands. A pair of players who have separated their hands also leave the circle. The game continues until one player remains. He will be the winner. Sometimes the use of wrestling techniques is allowed: tamping, hooking, hooks, jerks, steps.

"Cossack robbers"

The team of Cossacks is catching up, the team of robbers is running away. First, the "robbers" come up with a word and run away, drawing arrows on the fences with chalk, leaving marks on the houses and asphalt, indicating to the "Cossacks" their trail (sometimes false). "Cossacks" start the chase in 10-20 minutes. They can capture the enemy. The game can last a long time until the word "robbers" is guessed. Of course, this game is better to organize in an open space (for example, in the country).

In addition, you can learn some types of traditional Russian dance with guests: a round dance, competition dances, improvisation dances, game dances, and a squatting combat dance.
