In accordance with the Fundamentals of State Policy in the field of environmental development of the Russian Federation for the period up to 2030, approved by the President of the Russian Federation on April 30, 2012, in order to attract public attention to the issues of environmental development of the Russian Federation, conservation of biological diversity and ensuring environmental safety, Presidential Decree of the Russian Federation dated January 05, 2016 No. 7 2017 was additionally announced in Russia also Year of Ecology.
