Panel for the teacher in the technique of quilling. Quilling pictures. How to make quilling flowers. Dandelions

When making a panel, you need to match it to the design of the room, clearly define the components. When the repair is done in the apartment, all the furniture is arranged, it is necessary to decorate the space and give it a mood. Indeed, in any case, the comfort in the room is created by decorative elements matched to the interior design. One of these decorative elements is a panel.

A panel is an element of decor made of various materials such as paper, stone, wood, plastic. Also, the panel has a certain texture (mosaic, three-dimensional figures). However, for your own decor, it is not necessary to look for a ready-made panel in stores, you can do it yourself.

The cheapest material for making panels is paper, which can be folded or rolled into various configurations. For the manufacture of panels, quilling is suitable, with which you can make a three-dimensional picture from multi-colored paper ribbons. This technique is easy even for beginners and children. So you can safely start making it. Before you start making a panel of three-dimensional flowers, you need to learn how to twist the paper strips correctly.

For quilling you will need:

  • Quilling set;
  • Glue;
  • Comb;
  • Cardboard;
  • Strips of colored paper;
  • Toothpick or awl;
  • Scissors;
  • Ruler template.

For curls, you can use a toothpick, the tip of which is cut off, and at this end a slot is made into which a strip is inserted. A strip of paper inserted into the toothpick slot must be twisted away from you, clockwise. However, the twisted strip should be inside the curl on the wrong side, and outside the front.

In order for the curl not to fall apart, the end of the strip must be lubricated with glue.

The colored paper strips can be twisted into various shapes such as eye, petal, tight and loose circle, spiral, triangle, hearts, crescent, drop, square or freeform. A more complex quilling technique is looped quilling. Crafts using the looped quilling technique are made using a comb, folding strips of paper onto the comb teeth in a certain sequence.

To make flowers, you can use the schemes for beginners, which are available on the page of the leading quilling master Tatiana Perederiy. "Country of Masters" - on this page, Tatyana Perederiy talks about the types of techniques for making various crafts with her own hands, both for children and adults. You can watch a master class on making paintings using the quilling technique (pictures and pictures, a manufacturing scheme are presented here), and make panels on the entire wall yourself.

An interesting do-it-yourself quilling panel

Surely, many are thinking in what style to make a panel?

To do this, you need to take into account some features:

  1. Firstly, the future panel should be in harmony with the interiors of the room in which it will be placed. If this is an office space, then the picture must be done in an unobtrusive, restrained color scheme. Office room panels are best done in a minimalist style. The office panel will be made easily, without complex and bulky objects, it can be the outline of a bird, a fish, perhaps a company logo, made in stripes and not complicated curls.
  2. The panel, which will be placed in the living room, must be made bright, concise, suitable for the interior design of the room. Basically, to give a mood to the living room, the panels must be made in bright colors, the figures of which will be made in a complex shape. For the living room, a panel made in the technique of looped quilling or behive is suitable.
  3. You can make a New Year's panel, in a marine or floral style. The guests invited to the hall will look at the wall, where the hand-made panel will be located, with interest.
  4. In the bedroom or in the children's room, a panel made in a marine style is suitable. To do this, you need: white cardboard, scissors, a quilling kit, a toothpick with a slot, gouache or watercolor, a brush and glue.

First, you need to draw the bottom of the ocean on white cardboard - yellow sand and multi-colored stones. The cardboard itself must be painted in a pale blue color. At the bottom, it is imperative to arrange the algae by smooth green strips of paper. Also at the bottom you can place a starfish. It can be made by gluing 5 free-form curls, and the paper should be red.

Above the algae and the bottom, you need to place the fish. The fish are made by folding strips of paper into a drop shape, and the fins are made from several curls. The sheets are made in free form and sizes, with green strips of paper. The last step to create a flower panel will be gluing the collected inflorescences on white or colored cardboard. All details are made, depending on the dimensions of the panel.

Quilling Tips: Flower Panels for Beginners

You can easily make a panel of flowers with your own hands.

To begin with, you should make the constituent elements of the colors, separately from the base, just dial the required amount.

For flowers, you need to make a center by twisting strips of paper into a tight circle.

Also for the petals, you need to make several dozen curls in the form:

  • Drops;
  • Petal;
  • Eyes;
  • Oval.

Performing a flower arrangement, it is necessary to supplement it with such elements as a flower fairy located in the middle, a butterfly sitting on one of the flowers, or a bee. Such a panel will turn out to be “childish”, uncommon, cheerful. What could be warmer and more beautiful than summer and flowering meadows.

We organize a quilling panel with a hummingbird: a master class

The panel area does not have to be completely filled.

Many ideas can be executed in the form of stripes and winding outlines, so, for example, making a hummingbird panel will not be difficult.

This simple idea can be realized with a few curls of paper.

To make a quilling hummingbird panel, you will need:

  • White cardboard to serve as the canvas
  • Quilling paper;
  • Scissors;
  • Glue;
  • Toothpick or awl.

With strips of paper, you need to make an outline of a hummingbird.

Namely:

  1. Make a sharp, long beak by folding a strip of paper in half, pushing the ends of the paper a little apart.
  2. Make a semicircular head with two strips, and both strips must be attached to the base of the beak, one strip should be brought out to the abdomen, and the second to the back. You do not need to make the head oval or circle, the line should be smooth.
  3. The wings of a hummingbird should be 2 sizes larger than its body. The wings must be made with various twisted curls that imitate feathers. For this, curls are suitable, shaped like a leaf, spirals, an elongated drop.

Also, many stores sell quilling panels, which include colored paper, colored strips of paper, sticks for winding strips, a quilling template with circles, glue, a brush, a frame and instructions for making a drawing. However, the implementation of your own ideas is much more inspiring and brings positive emotions, except when making crafts according to a ready-made layout, because it is never too late to learn something.

Quilling is a kind of fashionable handmade today. This type of needlework is distinguished by its relative simplicity of execution, the ability to make various items that will decorate everyday reality. For example, quilling allows you to make decorative elements with your own hands that will transform the interior in your home.

The word comes from the English "quill", which means "bird feather". This is a technology for creating a beautiful interior decor that looks elegant and atmospheric. The art of paper twisting has been known since the Middle Ages in Europe. Nuns or noble ladies were engaged in such needlework, using a bird's feather, on the tip of which strips of paper were twisted.

Often, it was gilded around the edges and made it possible to create various crafts, for example, panels and icons, medallions or even carpets. From such paper it was possible to make jewelry that looked outwardly just like gold.

Modern technology involves twisting ordinary colored paper, which is pre-cut into narrow strips. Then they are given the desired shape and the resulting figures are glued together to create full-fledged products.

This decor is suitable for the festive decoration of the apartment. You can add unusual items decorated with quilling. Masters use not only paper, but also other materials. It may well be strips of wood, fabric or plastic.

Remember, if you decide to hang a panel or a photo frame made using quilling on the wall, they should not be exposed to direct sunlight. Otherwise, the paper may simply burn out.

Technology features

The technique of "twisting paper" is not difficult for most who want to master it. It includes the following features:

1. Narrow paper strips are twisted into a tight spiral. To make it convenient to do this, use an awl, on the tip of which the edge of the paper is wound. Masters sometimes take special tools that have a forked end, gently grasping the material.

2. After forming the core of the spiral, you can work without using any more awl. Your own fingers will help you, as you can check how uniform the roll is by touch.

3. The result is a dense spiral of small diameter. It is the basis for creating various forms.

4. The spiral can be unraveled to the size that the master needs. A figure is formed from it, while the tip of the paper must be grabbed with a drop of glue.

If you master the basics of technology, then the rolls can be given almost any shape. In addition, they can be compressed and leave dents if the overall composition so requires.

In total, there are about thirty elements for quilling. But, one way or another, they apply the same principle: they fold, pinch, and then give the desired shape, including their own imagination.

Consider different products that can be made using quilling technology. These can be souvenir boxes and planters, wall panels, holiday decorations, etc.

Master classes for more complex paintings with step by step photos

It is possible to master the skills of creating quilling paintings in several ways: by enrolling in a special circle, where professional craftsmen will teach the secrets of technology; having bought a book with basic schemes and rules of work; Check out the online masterclasses. Creativity should start with simple elements: single flowers or plants (daisies, gerberas, mountain ash), light crafts, postcards, gradually complicating the technique, increasing the number of elements, creating voluminous panels. The master classes below with photos will help you create your first quilling paintings.

Painting from a bouquet of flowers

Pictures of twisted paper elements, with the right shades and types of elements, look quite realistic and very beautiful. Of particular delight are panels depicting bouquets of flowers, and they can be different - from simple daisies or forget-me-nots, to more complex works, for example, with gerberas, lilacs, asters, peonies. For additional decor, different beads, sparkles and other decorative elements can be used.

Necessary tools for creativity:

  • The basis for the panel (it can be glossy paper, thick or starched fabric or plain cardboard). Sometimes the background is painted over to create realism.
  • Sliced paper elements for quilling (width can vary from 0.3 cm to 1 cm). The choice of color depends on personal preferences, in this master class pink, orange, green and light green shades are used.
  • Scissors, stationery knife.
  • PVA glue.
  • Silicone adhesive.
  • Decorative elements.

Step-by-step instructions for creating a picture:

  1. At the heart of the picture are eleven large flowers, for each of which it is necessary to make a middle. To make the core, you need to cut the paper of pale pink and green colors one centimeter wide into a fringe. Using a toothpick, it is necessary to wind tight spirals. The middle should be pink with a green edge.
  2. The remaining segments intended for flowers must be twisted into a free spiral so that in the future it will be possible to give them the necessary shape.
  3. We begin to prepare the flowers: squeeze the orange elements, giving them the shape of a “leaf” and glue 3 parts together at the very base.
  4. Give the pink spirals the shape of a “drop”, two of which must be glued between the orange elements, and the remaining 2 on top of them, as a result, a blank for a flower should be obtained. See an example of a petal in the photo:
  5. Glue the required number of petals and cover each with orange paper to give them a finished look.
  6. To assemble the flowers, a silicone glue gun is used. Initially, all the petals are glued together, and then the middle is attached to the top.
  7. To create a bud, you need to make a roll and slightly push it out until you get a cone. Lubricate the middle with glue and attach the petals there.
  8. To create leaves, you need to give the green spirals the shape of an “eye” and glue them together to make a branch of greenery.
  9. Assemble the composition by gluing all the elements on silicone glue, add decorative elements, sparkles to make it more realistic and arrange the panel in a frame.
  10. An amazing delicate picture is ready, look at the photo for an example of design:

How to make a picture in a winter or New Year's motive

On the eve of the New Year holidays, I want to decorate a room, office or any other room with an original painting that will help create the necessary atmosphere, a sense of a fairy tale and approaching magic. It is possible to make a panel using a wide variety of creative techniques and skills. The quilling style picture looks original and unusual, which can be created by children (working together with their parents) or novice masters. If you want to make a more complex robot, you should add a few elements or make the panel voluminous.

To create a Christmas tree picture you will need:

  • Quilling paper 0.5 centimeters green (various shades can be used to make the Christmas tree realistic). If it is not possible to find special blanks, you should make it yourself by cutting double-sided colored paper into segments of the desired width and length.
  • PVA glue (it should be as thick as possible so that the parts stick together and hold well).
  • Scissors.
  • Toothpicks or an awl.
  • Decorative elements for decorating the Christmas tree: beads, beads, shiny threads or small tinsel.

Step by step job creation:

  1. To get started, you need to decide on the size of the future Christmas tree, which determines the number of elements that will be used for work.
  2. Cut the paper into fringes using small scissors.
  3. Using a toothpick, create tight spirals, fix the edges with PVA glue.
  4. Fluff up the fringe, creating an object.
  5. Glue the elements of the composition onto the base, making up the Christmas tree.
  6. Decorate with decorative elements to make the tree become a New Year's tree.

Crafts in the technique of contour quilling

With the help of twisted paper elements, paintings can be created in different techniques. Contour quilling has won the hearts of many creative people, because with the help of this method it is possible to make unique paintings, real works of art. A distinctive feature of this technique is that it practically does not use full filling, but only the creation of contours. To work, you need any picture, the contours of which will be used to create the composition. Let's consider a master class of a simple children's panel in the style of contour quilling.

For work you will need:

  • Paper for quilling, 0.5 cm wide in different colors.
  • The scissors are small.
  • Awl, toothpick or pin.
  • Glue for fixing elements - PVA and a glue gun for assembling crafts.
  • Tweezers and a decommissioned pen.

Step by step creation:

  1. To get started, you need to trace the outlines of the picture with a non-writing pen so that they are all printed on cardboard, where the composition will be created. It is important not to miss even the slightest detail.
  2. It’s worth starting with large details, this will help to do the job as accurately as possible. Attach paper of suitable colors to the formed contours and cut off the required length.
  3. Lubricate one edge of a piece of paper with glue and attach to the place where you want to mark the contour, it is important to clearly fall into the outlined boundaries - this will create a harmonious composition. To facilitate the gluing process (especially small parts) it is necessary to use tweezers.
  4. If there is a lot of free space between the contours, it is worth filling it with additional details to give the picture charm.
  5. The picture in the style of contour quilling is ready.

Looped quilling

One of the varieties of quilling is the loop technique. It is based on the creation of elements in the form of eyelets, using various improvised tools (pins, comb). With the help of such a seemingly simple technique, creative people can create true masterpieces, beautiful paintings that will please the eye and cheer up every time they look at them. This technique is used to create all sorts of flowers, butterflies, less often for landscape or wildlife elements. Consider the step-by-step creation of forget-me-nots with looped quilling.

For work you will need:

  • Double-sided colored paper for cutting segments or a special quilling kit.
  • Glue stick and PVA.
  • Scissors.
  • Comb comb.
  • Toothpick, orange stick or awl.

Step-by-step creation of forget-me-nots with looped quilling:

Schemes for creating paintings using the quilling technique

To create a quilling pattern by professionals, only fantasy can be used. It is sometimes extremely difficult for beginner creative people who are just mastering the technique to create the perfect panel on their own, correctly calculating the size and number of elements, arranging all the details of the composition so that everything looks harmonious. It is not always possible to choose the right element and place it advantageously. Special stencils, schemes for creating certain paintings can help in undertakings, look at the photo for examples:

In this master class, I continue to introduce everyone to contour or, as it is also called, graphic quilling.

This type of quilling differs from the usual one in that there are no complex elements in contour quilling, and drawings or elements are created by contours that are “drawn” by strips of colored paper.
As a result of several hours of work, such a composition was born - a rose tree. If you arrange the composition in a frame (I chose the IKEA frame), you will get an excellent interior picture.

Below is a list of the tools and materials I used:
- quilling paper (7 mm) in three colors: black, brown, dark green, pink, lilac;
- deep picture frame;
- an awl for quilling;
- PVA glue;
- ordinary scissors;
- pencil, ruler;
- quilling tweezers.

To create the outline of our future tree, you need to draw and cut a stencil. I drew a tree inscribed along the contour in a circle. That is, first we draw a circle, then we draw an arbitrary, but preferably a symmetrical tree, then we cut it out along the contour.
Here's what happened.

We apply the contour to the base-substrate on which the future composition will “live”. It can be thick paper or cardboard. Decide for yourself.
You can outline the outline with a pencil, but only very faintly, or simply mark control points with a pencil (instead of solid outline lines). Now sequentially, strip by strip, glue the paper. The secret is to start at the outer borders.

When the outer boundaries are marked, you can start filling the inner space of the tree. We glue each strip like this: we glue the edge with glue, after giving the strip the necessary shape or bend. When applying the strip to the base, it is advisable to use tweezers: it is more convenient and cleaner.

The length of each cut of a strip of paper is measured by eye. Three dark colors of paper were used for the tree trunk: black, brown and green.

The strips are laid out as close to each other as possible to fill all the internal space.
When the trunk is ready, add branches. We alternate colors.

Now let's get to the colors. In this case, only one basic open form of quilling was used. The open shape of the element means that the element does not need to be fixed with glue. The ends of the paper simply twist towards each other. At the same time, twisted spirals from different ends can be of different sizes.

Such elements need a sufficient number - about 100 elements. When the elements are ready, we begin to fill in the empty space. All parts are fixed with PVA glue. You need a little glue, otherwise the cardboard (base) will start to get wet and deform.

I made the main color of the crown pink, adding some lilac elements.

First, start gluing large elements, all voids are then filled with small curls.
A little more, and the picture is ready.

Side view.

This is a painstaking task, but very pleasant when such beauty is obtained.

The quilling technique is wonderful because knowing the basic forms of rolls, on the basis of which certain compositions are created, you can connect your imagination and create new author's works. This workshop on making quilling panel, photo which you see, is intended for those who have at least a little knowledge in this needlework technique. For those who have never done quilling, we advise you to try to make the simplest elements of such a panel and, based on them, create your own, albeit simple, but your own unique work.

Before proceeding to the consideration of the master class, let's look at the materials that are needed for manufacturing do-it-yourself panel. quilling- a technique that requires certain skills and abilities. Masters who are professionally engaged in this work always have large quantities of quilling paper in stock.

I would like to note that if you do not have the opportunity to purchase quilling paper, then you should not be upset, as you can make paper strips yourself. On a color printer, print double-sided colored paper in the desired colors, and then cut it with scissors into strips 50 cm long and 3 and 10 mm wide.

Tools and materials for making panels:

  • Quilling paper set
  • Non-woven wallpaper
  • Stationery knife
  • A5 color cardboard
  • PVA glue
  • Beads
  • Quilling tool or toothpick
  • Scissors
  • dry shine

Quilling panels - master class

The process of creating this panel, as well as other crafts using the quilling technique, begins with the manufacture of rolls. Rolls are made by twisting paper with a quilling tool or a toothpick by twisting the paper into a spiral and then shaping it into the desired shape. If you do not have a quilling tool, then make one from an ordinary toothpick. To do this, make a small longitudinal incision at one of its ends.

Given quilling panel will consist of two types of buds, flowers and petals. one of the types are made of five pointed petals and five drop-shaped petals. To make them, roll five strips of pink paper and five strips of purple paper into rolls. Press the rolls with your fingers and form them into a drop shape.

From green paper, cut a circle with a diameter of 2-2.5 cm. Make an incision to the center of the circle, the length of which is equal to the radius. After that, apply PVA glue to it and glue the sides overlap. Thus, you will get a cone on which you will need to glue all the cooked rolls.

To make the core of the flower, you will need a strip of pink paper 10 cm long and 3 mm wide and a strip of purple paper, one side of which is cut with a fringe, 10 cm wide and 15 cm long. Roll a tight roll out of purple paper, glue the ends with PVA glue. Straighten the fringe. Insert the finished flower core into the center of the cone. Glue beads on it with PVA glue.

Now you can start making buds. To do this, twist a strip of green paper into a tight spiral. Then make three rolls of pink paper and three rolls of green paper in the form of a drop. From purple paper, you need to cut three small and thin strips that will be the stamens of the bud. Squeeze out the center of the tight green spiral with your fingers. You should have a small cup.

Apply PVA glue inside this cup. Insert the stem. It can be made from a piece of wire wrapped in green paper. Insert green petals along the edges of the cup. Then grease the green petals with glue and pour rose petals on them. Roll the strips of pink paper for the stamens into tubes with your fingers. Glue a bead on each of them and insert the finished stamens into the center of the bud. By this principle, make all the other buds.

For our panel flowers quilling with one tier of petals ready. You also need to make a large flower, consisting of two tiers of petals. To make the outer tier of the flower, you will need 9 large teardrop-shaped petals, twisted from pink and purple strips of paper. The diameter of the finished spiral should be about 15 mm.

From green paper, make a cone, the same as for the previous flower. Lubricate the circumference of the cone with PVA glue and glue large petals. Glue 11 small petals on top of the large ones in a checkerboard pattern. Give the flower a few minutes to dry. Cut a strip of pink paper 10 mm wide into a fringe and twist it into a spiral. This will be the center of the flower. Glue its end with glue and glue it to the center of the flower.

Now you need to supplement the quilling panel with leaves. As noted earlier, they need to be made in two different types. The first small leaves will be curved. Petals of the second type are made of green and light green paper. The diameter of a loosely twisted spiral should be about 4-5 cm. Flatten this spiral with your fingers and pull it to the sides. Thus, you will get a large sharp leaf.

All elements for manufacturing quillingpanel on the wall ready, and you can start assembling it. On the prepared base for the panel, glue a large lush flower from below, and glue the leaves next to it, as shown in the photo. Above the flower, place other flowers, as well as buds.
