From the scraps, cut out several narrow details - “feathers”.

Cut out the rectangle of the mitt as shown in the photo. Mirror the second rectangle. Sew triangular black felt claws.

Sew the side seam, leaving a hole for the thumb about 5 cm long. Lay the seam allowances to the side and baste with a blind stitch.

Sew an orange iris and a black pupil. Cut out a small patch of white felt from scraps of white felt and stitch over the pupil. Sew off the white circles.

Sew black eyebrows. Sew dark brown trim on the beak. Place the beak under the middle of the bottom of the main mask and scribble. Sew on each side of the mask rectangles of gray felt for the rim.

Step 1

Let's start tailoring the costume with the wings. Take the fabric that will lie on top. Place a plate on the canvas so as to mark the opening for the neck.

Step 2

Now using a ruler and chalk, swipe down on either side of the opening straight lines 40 cm. Then close these two lines with zigzags, forming jagged feathers on the owl's wings. It does not have to be symmetrical. When the wing template is ready, cut it out.

Step 3

In order to make the second wing (lower), take a ready-made template and lay it out on the second piece of felt fabric. Outline the template with chalk, keeping in mind that the lower part of the wings should be an order of magnitude longer. Therefore, focusing on the template, lengthen the side and zigzag lines. Then cut out the wing along the outline.

Step 4

Connect the cutout of the upper wing with the cutout of the lower wing and sew them along the neck line. To the back of the wings, on both sides of the opening for the neck, sew ribbons for ties. Wings are ready!

Make feathers on the breast of an owl in the form of figures resembling a cherry leaf, 10x4 cm in size in two colors. Cut out shapes from fabric and glue them to a regular T-shirt in about 5 rows, alternating colors.
