The championship of professional team shows "UrbanDanceChampionship" will also be held here, where dancers from all over Russia will compete for the main prize and show the best dance shows. The competition will be judged by Moscow choreographers Dmitry Cherkozyanov and KoutiebaAlashab.

19:00 - 22:30. Concert program "Dances and voices of Yekaterinburg". The host of the holiday is Dmitry Nagiyev. The judge of the dance battles is the choreographer Egor Druzhinin.

They will be replaced by the best Yekaterinburg cover bands, who will play some of the queens, beatles and dispatches that have long become folk.

The main celebrations of the City Day will unfold on Saturday August 18 2018. It is planned that this City Day will become a rehearsal for the upcoming 300th anniversary in just five years.

City Day in Yekaterinburg in 2018 will be held in the format of a global multi-genre festival. The city center will be divided into thematic zones. This should make it easier to navigate, and should also make the content richer and better quality. If in all previous years the City Day was held according to approximately the same scenario, this year it compares favorably: the program has a lot of new, interesting, for every taste.

The Historical Square should accommodate theater carnival area. Citizens and guests of the city will see performances by artists of street theaters. At the same time, for the first time, the program of the holiday does not include the traditional gala concert in the Historical Square. Oktyabrskaya Square will turn into big dance floor in the open air with performances by artists of various styles and dance flash mobs. The Literary Quarter and the area near the Kosmos cinema will offer various entertainment for children. There will also be a dedicated area for food zones. The 1905 Square will become a musical platform, and in the evening guest stars will perform here.

Singers are expected to perform from the stars at the City Day in Yekaterinburg Yolka and Svetlana Loboda, groups "Ottawan" and "Mumiy Troll", as well as several well-known DJs. Perhaps, so many stars have never performed at the City Day in Yekaterinburg.

Group "Mummy Troll" will perform at Ploshchad 1905 Goda, beginning at 21:00. And before that, at 20:00, you can listen to the French band "Ottawan".

The celebration of the City Day will take place at several venues: in the Historical Square, the Literary Quarter, on the square next to the Kosmos KKT and other city spaces. Now the whole team of organizing the holiday is actively developing a program, accepting comments and suggestions.

Gradually, the intrigues of the upcoming holiday are revealed. It was told about the central event - International festival street theatrical performances #LitsAULITs 2019. Another interesting detail has also become known. Last year, during the adjustment of the audio system, visitors to the festival spontaneously began to dance. The organizers liked the mood that prevailed at the unplanned flash mob, and the management decided to support this story by inviting a disc jockey who will start creating the mood at 22:00, after the rest of the venues are closed.

Particular attention is paid to the sports program this year, which is not surprising: the city community was stirred up by the recent news that the capital of the Urals received the right to host a summer Universiade-2023. The sports program will include a lot of events: a climbing wall will work, a presentation of the upcoming World Boxing Championship and presentation of the new season football club "Ural", as well as traditional activities and competitions.

The main star of the evening (her name has not yet been announced) will take the stage at Squares of 1905 at 21:00. In the morning there will also be brass band festival, performance of 130 participants of a unique orchestral shift, a set of jazz musicians.
