Next year there will be only 28 days in February. And we have 8 days to rest. Among which, the 2nd, 3rd, 9th, 10th, 16th, 17th and 24th are regular weekends. On February 23, Russia celebrates Defender of the Fatherland Day. Because the holiday falls on Saturday, the previous Friday will be a shortened working day.


March

In March, all Russians have as many as 11 days off out of 31. And all because March 8, International Women's Day, falls on a Friday. This means that at the beginning of the month we will have 3 days of rest in a row. March 7, in honor of the holiday, is a shortened workday.

2, 3, 9, 10, 16, 17, 23, 24, 30, 31 - scheduled weekends.

April

Unfortunately, April will not please us with additional days off. The 6th, 7th, 13th, 14th, 20th, 21st, 27th and 28th are the most common days of rest. But on April 30, on the eve of the holiday, we will have a shortened workday.

May

The last month of spring will greet us as usual holidays.

On May 1, the whole country will celebrate Labor and Rest Day. And in honor of this, Russians are waiting for 5 days off in a row.

May 9 is Victory Day. The holiday falls on Thursday, so we will have 4 days off this week. May 8 – shortened workday.

4, 5, 11, 12, 18, 19, 25 and 26 are planned rest days.

Why are weekends and holidays postponed?

Next year, several holidays coincide with weekends. In order to comply with the norm of Article 110 of the Labor Code that there should be at least 42 hours of continuous rest between two working weeks, Mitrud developed a draft government resolution on the transfer of days off in 2019.

The transfer of rest days is proposed in order to rationally plan working time and create conditions for proper rest and organization of leisure time for Russians not only in winter time, but also in the spring and summer.
