So books became the best friends of young Renata. At home, the Litvinovs, like all exemplary Soviet citizens, had a large library, where she spent all her free time reading Russian classics.

After graduating from school, Renata from the first time entered the VGIK at the screenwriting department. According to herself, she chose the institute by distance from home, and at that time their apartment was on Babushkinskaya. There was only one stop to go by bus to VGIK. So the choice was obvious :-)

Here at VGIK, no one paid attention to the “unearthly” Renata, because for one “strange” student there were a dozen more of the same. In 1989, Renata made her film debut as an actress for the first time. It was a small episodic role. But even then they noticed her manner of languidly drawing out words and gesticulating a lot.
