Sew a bathrobe for the smallest. Children's terry bathrobe with a hood in different sizes. Building a drawing grid

It is known that after a long bath, when leaving the bathroom, the child is exposed to a sharp temperature drop, which is why today we will look at how to properly cut out a baby bathrobe.

Style
Building a bathrobe pattern for a child is quite simple. First of all, you need to decide on the style. A bathrobe with a zipper will be more practical for a child, since when moving, the floors of the bathrobe will not scatter in different directions. The dressing gown is best modeled with a hood.

Children bathrobe ready!

Open a bathrobe from a terry towel There is a model that can be made in just half an hour. She doesn't even need a pattern. In this case, a children's bathrobe with a hood is made very simply: a neck is cut out in the middle of the towel. The hood is attached to the neckline. The complexity for the manufacture of this model may just lie in its cutting▼▼▼

If the master has imagination and time, you can not just use a towel with a ready-made pattern. Using the appliqué technique, it is easy to create an exclusive and creative outfit that may become the child's favorite attire. To decorate the outfit, you need to take a fabric of a different color and even a different texture, for example, satin or silk. Details of the application are cut out from it - in this version, this is the body of a dolphin and its light belly. You can purchase a second towel in light blue and in a smaller size. From it cut out the figure of an animal and a hood. Instructions for sewing a bathrobe from a towel The main towel is folded across in half. A neckline is cut in the center. A hood and a figure of a dolphin are cut out of a smaller towel. The proposed pattern will help in this. A children's dressing gown with a hood will turn out beautiful if the fabric for the appliqué is not very thick. An overlay for the abdomen is cut out of a light smooth plain fabric. The very figure of a dolphin is sewn on the chest so that the hood serves as a continuation - the head of the animal. Be sure to process the edge of the hood. It is recommended to do this either with a hem or use an oblique inlay. Then the hood is sewn to the neck. Bed linen should be used. Dolphin eyes and mouth are embroidered on the hood. The light abdomen is located in the third layer. It is sewn on top already on an applique that imitates the body of a dolphin. The edge of the neck without a hood in front of the product is treated with an oblique trim. If desired, the master can make a belt for a dressing gown. And you can sew large buttons on the sides and sew loops. ================================== One-piece robe, flared down If the range of the baby's arms between the hands is not so large and fits in the width of the fabric, the following pattern will help to make such a model. The children's bathrobe with a hood has no shoulder seams. Only sidewalls are subject to grinding▼▼▼

The model with contrasting cuffs and overhead large pockets looks very nice. But you can also sew a plain children's bathrobe with a hood. The pattern suggested here can be used for sewing robes of various sizes. It is only important to take into account the length of the product, the semicircle of the chest and the length of the sleeve. ================================================ === with ears on the hood will please both the baby and his loved ones. It looks like a fancy dress, so it gives only positive emotions. And it's so easy to sew this children's robe with a hood. The pattern for making this outfit is quite simple▼▼▼

It is necessary to draw a rectangle with one side equal to half the length of the span between the hands (size B). The second side can be arbitrary - this is the width of the sleeve folded in half in the shoulder fold (size D). The rectangle is positioned so that the longer side is horizontal. The second rectangle is built perpendicular to the first, superimposing them one on top of the other with the letter "G". One side of the figure is equal to the length of the robe (size A), the second is half the chest half-girth plus 2 centimeters. With the help of an arc, the lateral axillary part is formed in place of the internal right angle. From the top of the connection of two right angles of both rectangles (at the upper left point), 6 cm is deposited to the right and 3 cm down. These marks are smoothly connected by an arc. This is a neckline on the back. From the same top, 7 cm is laid down and connected with an arc to a point of 6 cm. This will be the neckline in front. In the drawing, this line is highlighted in red. The smell is made in front of an arbitrary size. In the drawing, it is marked with a red line. Usually craftsmen build the patterns of children's bathrobes themselves. The hood can also be a rectangle folded across, stitched with a “bag”. But you can use the templates suggested here. Ears are used as decoration. ======================================== Robe with yoke and sewn-in sleeves I want to emphasize my femininity. Therefore, a model on a yoke will suit them. Shelves shrink slightly during sewing, which creates the effect of some fluffiness in the chest area▼▼▼

This model requires some skill. But with sufficient care and attention, you can get a very decent children's bathrobe with a hood. The pattern of the back is superimposed on the fold of the fabric folded along the grain. Shelves are also cut out after the fabric is folded with the right side inward. But in this case, you should get 2 parts. The same goes for cutting sleeves and yokes. source: https://vk.cc/6Obms5====================================== Three children's terry bathrobes in one pattern A dressing gown for a girl can be sewn from terry cloth measuring 75 * 150 cm. If the fabric is narrower, shorter sleeves will be obtained. The edges are finished with a roll. There are three variants of the dressing gown: 1. the dressing gown is made with a slight smell and the shelf is tied with bows (5a); 2. there are no fasteners and the floor is held by a belt (5); 3. The dressing gown is tied on the sides with bows or fastened with buttons (5b). A drawing of a pattern of a bathrobe 32 - 34 sizes ▼▼▼ is given

cutting

When cutting, it is important to place the details of the pattern in the correct direction of the grain thread of the fabric. When cutting on terry cloth, where you cannot draw lines with chalk, patterns can be pinned to the fabric with needles and, leaving 1-1.5 cm seam allowances, cut immediately.

The order of work on tailoring the model:

Overcast all the details of the dressing gown. Stitch the back of the hood. Stitch the back of the hood to the neck of the back. Stitch the front of the hood. Treat the edges of the side and the front of the hood with a facing. Stitch your ears. Stitch the ears to the front of the hood. Sew the shoulder seams and the back of the hood with the front of the hood.

Stitch in the sleeves. Stitch the side seams. Finish the bottom of the sleeves with stitches.

Finish the bottom of the robe. Fold the belt part in half lengthwise and stitch along the edge by 0.5 cm on three sides. Leave a small eversion hole in the middle. Turn the belt inside out and sew up the opening on the front side by hand.

Sew on the loops at the waistline, at the side seams. Put on the belt. Terry bathrobe is ready!

Note: Children's bathrobe can be decorated with an appliqué, placing it on the back or on the front.

Master Class Natalia Steblyanskaya

Each person enjoys wrapping himself in a warm and cozy bathrobe. You can sew it yourself. This clothing has a large number of varieties, but the general principles for creating patterns and tailoring are similar in various cases. By choosing the appropriate option, you can create comfortable and cozy home clothes for yourself or your loved ones.

Requirements for home clothes

Unlike gowns worn by doctors and nurses, when choosing home clothes, they are usually guided by the following wishes:

  • I would like convenience and practicality.
  • Preferred materials for manufacturing - natural.
  • Choose light home clothes according to your tastes.
  • It is desirable that a variety of options be provided.
Women's bathrobe

Not the last role is played by the fact that it should come up in a situation where you have to meet unexpected guests. There are various styles that are suitable for any age: both a young girl and an old grandfather.

Ready patterns

This type of home wear has many varieties. Below are some of the more popular ones.

Wrap with lace

Such a dressing gown is necessary to emphasize femininity, not to leave a man indifferent. There are a large number of styles. Lace can go well with a variety of materials.
The long version is well suited for women of all ages. If the average length is used, then this style emphasizes the dignity of the figure. The short style is more suitable for romantic meetings.

Kimono "Yukata"

Here we are talking about a kimono sewn from cotton fabric. Such clothes are often used at home or while out of town. For its manufacture, fabric with a discreet gray or blue pattern on a white background is usually used.

Kimono Yukata

In these clothes, the cut for women or men is the same. Usually the style is the same for people with different sizes. It's just that those who are more comfortable that way smell more strongly.

For the manufacture of this type of clothing, a piece of natural fabric is taken 150 cm wide and 300 cm long. Before you start sewing, you need to wash the cotton fabric. This is important because after washing it shrinks. By doing this in advance, you can be sure that the dimensions will be observed exactly. A master class on sewing a kimono is outlined below.

Cutting is done in accordance with the drawing.

Yukata kimono pattern

The fabric should be spread on the floor and make the necessary lines with chalk or a bar of soap. The length of the belt should be three times the length of the waist.

Tailoring is as follows:

  1. The sleeves are processed first. These parts are folded in half. Sleeves are short. The fold of the fabric is located on top. Since the hole is wide, the sleeve is sewn up from the bottom and from the outside. A hole of 15 cm is left for the hands. The lower hemmed part of the sleeve is used as a small pocket for small items.
  2. A smell is attached to the front, starting from the bottom edge. It should be borne in mind that the upper edge is bevelled.
  3. The neckline is in progress.
  4. Now it remains to fold the details in the waist part in half and place the front part inward.

The made kimono must be carefully folded and ironed. A pattern for creating a men's dressing gown of this type is done in a completely similar way.

Robe for children with a hood

Before you start sewing a children's bathrobe on your own, you need to choose the most suitable style. There is a wide range of options - some of them are simple, while others are very complex.

Robe for children with a hood

For work, you can buy terry cloth or use an existing terry towel large enough for the child. In order to determine the amount of material needed. You must first prepare a pattern, and then make calculations based on it.

Children's bathrobe with a hood

If these clothes are made for a 9 year old girl, then to create a pattern, you will need to take the following measurements:

  1. Chest girth.
  2. The circumference of the hips should be measured in accordance with the line of the buttocks.
  3. The length should be measured from the point where the shoulder line crosses the neck.
  4. To get a measure for the length of the arms, you need to spread your arms horizontally to the sides and measure the distance between the hands yourself.

In the simplest version, for sewing, you can use a terry towel of sufficient size. This robe is suitable not only for girls, but also for boys. In the middle, make a slot for the head and fold it in half lengthwise. The child becomes, holding his arms horizontally. Under his figure, the fabric is cut and hemmed. In this case, the hood is made separately and hemmed to the hole made.
How to sew a dressing gown without sleeves and without side seams

To sew such a model of clothes, you need an appropriate pattern. In this case, it is made from one piece of fabric. In this case, the seams in the upper part are made between the back and the shelf.

Robe without side seams

When drawing up a pattern, the master must take into account that in this case a rectangle is taken as the basis.

The width is determined by the circumference of the hips, which should be increased by about 12 cm. The length is selected based on the taste of the tailor. The depth of the neck and the height of the barrel are determined in accordance with the measurements taken.

Pattern without side seams

Tailoring is done as follows:

  1. The opening of the sleeve is sheathed with a zigzag stitch.
  2. In order to connect the shelf and back, you need to sew the top seam.
  3. The edges of the fabric at the neck and in the sleeves need to be processed.
  4. The neck must be decorated using a finishing material.
  5. The bottom needs to be bent and stitched.

After that, the coat will be ready. You can not only use it at home, but also take it with you on long trips to Russian Railways.

Do-it-yourself robe with a zipper

Before sewing, you need to choose the style that you like. In doing so, the following must be determined:

  1. Robe size.
  2. The presence of a hood.
  3. Will there be sleeves and how long should they be?
  4. It is necessary to determine whether the collar is supposed to go with the robe.

For summer, a fitted style without sleeves or with very short ones is suitable. In colder seasons, it is better to wear full-length or three-quarter sleeves. Typically, patch pockets are used for such a dressing gown.

Bathrobe with a zipper

Since we are talking about tight-fitting clothes with a zipper, it is possible to build such a pattern based on a T-shirt. You need to choose one that does not restrict movement.

Scheme of a bathrobe with a zipper

To build a pattern, do the following:

  1. The shirt needs to be ironed and folded in half.
  2. The shirt must be put on paper, while pinning the edges with pins. Next, draw a pattern. In this case, you will need to make an allowance so that the clothes fit freely.
  3. To cut the sleeves, you can simply continue the sleeves of the T-shirt to the desired length.
  4. You need to choose what will be the selection and collar.
  5. If you plan to have a hood, then its pattern can be made from the old thing, where it is available.
  6. Pockets can be of any shape, for them it is necessary to prepare the appropriate patterns.

After the pattern is prepared, tailoring is performed on its basis. In a dressing gown made, a woman will look spectacular, even if she has hairpins on.

Bathrobe

The pattern of a women's dressing gown with buttons, size 48, will require the use of a value equal to the sum of the distance from the shoulders to the bottom and the length of the arms with a fabric width of 150 cm. For larger sizes, you will need to use double the length of the robe.

Bathrobe

In order to fit a pattern for a women's dressing gown with buttons, you need to clarify your dimensions and make the necessary adjustments to the pattern.

The width of the smell should be from 12 to 15 cm.

It is necessary to use a fabric that absorbs water well (for example, waffle).

Bathrobe drawing

When cutting on terry cloth, it is not possible to use chalk for marking. In this case, it will be convenient to attach paper drawings to the fabric with pins.

The step-by-step sewing instructions look like this:

  1. First, when sewing, back and shoulder seams are made on a typewriter.
  2. Hem the edges of the pockets and attach them to the main part of the dressing gown.
  3. It is necessary to sew the collar, collar and collar on the other side.
  4. Sew a finishing stitch on the collar and bands.
  5. Stitch sleeves.
  6. Sew on the overlock the bottom of the product, the edges of the sleeves.
  7. Make a belt. To do this, a 0.5 cm line is made on the edge of the wrong side. In this case, a small hole must be left. Then turn it right side out and sew up the opening.
  8. Make a fitting and determine the full length of the sleeves. After that, you need to sew them on.

At the end, loops are made through which the belt will be threaded. After that, the production of a terry bathrobe is over. It's warm and cozy even when it's cold outside.

Dressing gown made of textile fabric

When using a textile fabric, there are some peculiarities. In this case, it is recommended to make holes for the belt. They must be processed and provided with an adhesive lining inside.

The sundress pattern is made in such a way that there are no side seams. Clothes are made from one piece of fabric. You can comfortably walk around the house or lie in bed in it.

Dressing gown from knitted fabric

Such a pattern can be done in the following way:

  1. The piece of fabric is folded in half lengthwise. Thus, the middle of the back will be indicated in accordance with the pattern of the terry bathrobe.
  2. Fold again across the width. Thus, the middle of the shoulder will be obtained.
  3. The resulting lines are marked with chalk.
  4. Now it remains to cut the neckline.

When sewing, all sections will need to be bent and sewn. At the waist level, you need to install ties.
This pattern for a bathrobe will be convenient for soft fabrics of medium thickness.

Children bathrobe

Fabric choice

You can use different types of fabric for a bathrobe:

  • Synthetics look beautiful, durable and have a longer service life, while electrifying and poorly breathable.
  • York fabrics are sometimes used.
  • Bamboo fiber works well, but it is an expensive material.
  • Cotton is also often used to make bathrobes.
  • Silk bathrobes are beautiful and practical, but not suitable for daily wear.

Bathrobes made of terry cloth are very popular.

Calculation of the amount of fabric

The amount of fabric required to sew a bathrobe depends on the style chosen. After the pattern is prepared, you can determine which cut will be needed for sewing.

How to start sewing

Making with a pattern 46 48 size for a flannel robe requires accuracy and care. It is available not only to experienced craftswomen, but also to those who are just learning this.

Taking measurements

Usually, in order to sew these clothes, you need to take the following measurements:

  • girth of the neck, chest, waist;
  • shoulder girth, sleeves;
  • dress length;
  • back width.

Such measurements are important in order for the clothes to fit the figure well. Based on these measurements, templates are drawn up. For the basis, you can take a typical one and make adjustments according to the measurements made. In this case, the drawings will change slightly.

Taking measurements

Cut on fabric

A pattern for sewing a dressing gown can be made using pre-made drawings on paper or directly on fabric.

The basis for the manufacture of this clothing is a typical pattern.

Tailoring

  1. First, shoulder seams are performed. After they have been stitched, it is necessary to iron the allowances and do it towards the back.
  2. The sleeve must be sewn, taking into account the marks made in advance. Allowances need to be ironed towards the sleeves.
  3. The side seams and those on the sleeves are sewn with one seam. They need to be ironed towards the shelves.
  4. Now you need to sew the inlays. At the same time, they are folded in half lengthwise. Fold lines need to be ironed. The trim and the edge of the dressing gown should be folded with the front sides and stitched with a blind seam.

After that, the main part of the dressing gown can be considered finished.

Wrap bathrobe

Sleeves and details

The edging for the outer edge of the sleeves can be done using the inlay

For decoration, a pocket can be sewn to the dressing gown.

To make a belt, it must be stitched, cutting off the corners, and turned out. An open seam must be made to the edge. In this case, on both sides it is required to bend the edge by one centimeter.

How to sew without creating a pattern

To make a homemade dressing gown with your own hands, a simple pattern looks like this.
To do this, just take a rectangular piece of suitable fabric. In this case, the corners must be cut to make them rounded.

Make a dressing gown without cutting

Dimensions should be as follows. In length, this one-piece cut should exceed the height of a woman. The width is required so that the fabric can be wrapped around the body with a wrap.

For quick sewing, you need to make cuts for the hands. To determine their place, you need:

  1. Draw a vertical line in the center of a piece of fabric with chalk or a bar of soap.
  2. It measures the height from the bottom of the robe to the bottom of the armpits.
  3. A horizontal line is made in this place, it should correspond to the width of the shoulders.
  4. From the last segment lay two vertical segments up. In this place, there will be cutouts in the fabric for the hands.

For after the holes for the arms are made, the part of the fabric that is above the shoulders is bent and falls freely on the back. Now, in order to wear a bathrobe, you will also need to make a belt. Before sewing a bathrobe, you can see. How does this style look like, making it for a doll.

Robe with lace

The dressing gown is the cozy house clothes emphasizing style of the hostess. For its manufacture, you can use various styles. Usually, the manufacture of such clothes is not difficult even for a novice craftswoman.

Everyone loves to wrap themselves in warm and cozy things, whether it be pajamas or a bathrobe. Coming out of the shower or coming from a cold street, you want to put on everything warm, soft and fluffy.

Children, just like adults, need warmth and comfort. For a little princess, a soft bathrobe sewn with love by mother's hands will be a real happiness.

The advantage of sewing a children's terry bathrobe with your own hands is that you yourself decide how it will look, and the unusualness of the work is limited only by the author's imagination.

Consider several styles of bathrobes for children: from the simplest, which can be sewn in just an hour, to complex ones. Everything will depend on your taste and the wishes of the child.

Fabrics can also be very different. Both terry cloth, “frote fabric”, and ordinary terry towels will do. Some models require a certain type of material.

How much mahr should be purchased? It depends on the size of the robe and measurements. It is best to first make a paper pattern and calculate the amount of material required, based on the dimensions obtained. Let's say the width of the fabric is 150 centimeters, it will take about 200 for the length of the robe and sleeves, about 15 should be left for hem, indentation and seams, and about 20-30 for the strap, if it is present.

Taking measurements from a girl 9-14 years old

  1. The bust is measured horizontally. It passes through the line of the chest and shoulder blades.
  2. The circumference of the hips is measured horizontally through the line of the buttocks and hips. Important take into account the protrusion of the tummy.
  3. The length of the robe is measured vertically from the intersection of the neck and shoulders.
  4. Sleeve length is measured horizontally. This is the distance between the divorced hands.

Construction of patterns (terry robe with a hood, zipper, trapeze, etc.)

We consider 3 types of bathrobes as promised earlier.

Important! When creating patterns, do not forget about indents.

The first is the simplest - from a whole towel

A skilled seamstress can sew this model in half an hour. She doesn't even need a pattern.

A large terry towel is taken, folded in half, an oval cutout is made in the middle of the fold, the size of a child's head. Then you need to spend time only on connecting and cutting the hood.

His pattern can be seen in the image:

The second level is more difficult - a solid, straight silhouette

  • To begin with, a triangle is drawn on paper on one of the sides, equal to ½ of the distance equal to the span between the child's hands. This line is labeled B on the diagram.
  • Line D can be any size. This is the sleeve width.
  • Side A is the length of the robe itself. You can choose a comfortable one for your daughter.
  • And finally, C - equal to the half-girth of the chest + two centimeters.
  • The arc should round the axillary part of the pattern.
  • At the top left point, 2 roundings should be made:
  • The first is from 6 centimeters to the right from the corner to 3 centimeters down. (back of the neck).
  • The second is from 6 centimeters to the right of the corner and up to 7 centimeters down. (front of the neck).
  • Add a front wrap to the drawing. In the diagram, this line is marked in red and can be of any size.

The third level is the most difficult - flared down

This option differs from the previous one in that the pattern of the entire robe is made at once. It is suitable only if the span between the hands of the baby fits into the width of the fabric. Otherwise, you will have to make a 3/4 sleeve or sew on additional pieces of fabric. The diagrams show the required patterns.

The height of the pattern will be equal to twice the height of the product, the width - the distance between the divorced hands. Sleeve width is optional.

Hood

Separately, I would like to make a pattern for the hood.

Distances are calculated according to the scheme:

Head height (K8-K11) \u003d Height - Neck point height.

Half of the length of the neck line (K-K13) \u003d Neck length on the back + Neck length in front.

Then arbitrary roundings are made, as shown in the figure.

Assembling finished parts of a dressing gown for a girl

For all products, except for the first, the facings of the sleeves are folded in half and sewn along the bottom. When basting and stitching the seams of the sleeves and side parts, the line should not be interrupted.

First view

Necessarily attention should be paid to the edge of the hood - it must be processed. To do this, you can use an oblique inlay or simply with the help of a hem.

At the end, the hood is sewn with a bed seam to the neck of the main part of the dressing gown.

Second view

The hood is stitched as described in the previous assembly. The lines of the sleeve, shoulder, connection on the back and side are sewn.

It is important to leave a small area to turn the belt inside out after it is sewn on.. Then you should iron the part and stitch along the contour. After that, you need to sew 2 loops and sew them on the side seams in the waist area.

Third view

There will be no shoulder seams in this type of robe.. It means that only sidewalls and hood should be sewn(how to process it is written in the assembly of the first type). It is recommended to do this with a bed seam.

I would like to note that it is not necessary to do everything in strict accordance with the plan. Fantasy should not be limited to a couple of patterns from the article.

You can come up with many interesting details, such as bows, ears, pockets and more. Good luck with your work and have a nice day!
